The short version

We make games, not data businesses. Here's the gist before the details:

  • We collect as little as we can. Mostly how the game is running (crashes, which levels people finish) so we can make it better.
  • We never sell your personal information. Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
  • Payments go through Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
  • You're in control. You can ask us to delete your data any time by emailing support@beanpiegames.com.

This policy covers every game and app made by Beanpie Games (Steve Babineau, Beanpie Games LLC, "we" or "us"), plus our website.

What we collect

Stuff you give us. If you email us, join a newsletter or contact support, we get your email address and whatever you write. Most of our games don't need an account. [If a game has accounts: we also store your username and the email you sign up with and any profile data you choose to give us.

Stuff the game collects automatically.

Device infoPhone model, OS version, languageTo fix bugs that only happen on certain devices
Crash reportsWhat the app was doing when it crashedTo stop it crashing again

We don't collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera unless a game clearly asks first and needs it for a feature.

Stuff from the app stores. When you buy something in a game, Apple or Google handles the payment. They tell us that a purchase happened so we can give you your item, but we never get your card number or billing address.

How we use it

We don't use your data to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly serious effects.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for money. We only share it with:

Kids

Our games are made for players 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you think a child has sent us their information, email support@beanpiegames.com and we'll delete it.

How long we keep it, and keeping it safe

We keep data only as long as we need it. Gameplay and crash data is kept for up to 24 months or longer if necessary, then deleted or made anonymous. Support emails are kept for up to 24 months or longer if necessary. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.

We use the security tools our service providers offer, like encryption and access controls. No system is perfect, but if something goes wrong that affects your data, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

Delete your data. Email support@beanpiegames.com with the game's name and we'll delete what we hold about you within 30 days.

Turn off tracking. On iPhone, you can say no when an app asks to track you, or turn it off in Settings › Privacy › Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings › Google › Ads.

Stop marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any email.

Your legal rights. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to see a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, move it elsewhere, or object to how we use it. Email us to use any of these. We won't treat you differently for asking. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll also let you know in the game or by email before it takes effect.

Questions? We're real people and we read everything.
